The National Stadium is one of the oldest venues in the country, having hosted a test match against India as far back as 1955. Beautifully constructed National stadium has all the features that an international Cricket Stadium has. It has the Capacity of around 35,000 people.
Karachiites are immensely emotional about cricket and they never leave any opportunity of witnessing their team's game. Karachi has over the years provided the National team with some of its finest talent, especially in the batting department. Legends like Hanif Mohammad, Mushtaq Mohammad, Zaheer Abbas, Javed Miandad and recently an all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi and Younis khan who made fame by smashing the fastest ODI century off 37 balls.
